All About Claire White

My paintings are colourful, semi abstract and based on architectural form. They take inspiration from religious architecture but are not about religion itself, they are much more about the memories and experience that these buildings hold. Like architectural archaeology with layers of meaning and history behind them. Some paintings have textile inclusions in them and I try to create these windows into a space, or a memory and let the viewer imagine the rest.
