I am a professed hermit of the Roman Catholic diocese of Nottingham. Calligraphy has long been an approved activity for monastics and contemplatives, as an extension of the prayerful practice of Lectio Divina (holy reading). In addition St Cuthberts House offers a unique stationery service - designing & producing fine hand-finished greeting cards from beautiful & original hand-scribed texts - combining the skills of beautiful writing with modern printing techniques to produce exclusive, luxury stationery and greeting cards.Visits to the workshop are usually confined to selected AOTM open days, or to customers by appointment. I do emerge occassionally to give talks to interested groups about my life and my work - if you are interested please contact me via my website.

My studio may be open, by appointment only, at any time during the year. In addition, my studio will be open for the major AOTM Open Studio event on the following days:
