What is Art on the Map?
"Art on the Map (AOTM) is a collective of some of the best artists and craft-makers in Lincolnshire, who open their studios to the public on set weekends during the year. The organisation was formed in 2000 and is run by volunteer AOTM members, elected to the Steering Group, and it has gradually evolved over the years. AOTM have produced a Lincolnshire Open Studios brochure each year, with details of AOTM members.
In May 2008 the Steering Group decided to move the AOTM calendar year to start on 1 June 2008 and end on 31 May 2009. They also sub-divided the county into five AOTM Cluster Group areas to allow the five different areas to open their studios on different weekends, allowing visitors a wider range of times for visits within the county. In addition, joint AOTM events also took place throughout the year."
