Lincolnshire Open Studios Seeks Chairperson
Posted Wednesday, 3rd Mar '10 Art On The Map is seeking to recruit a Chairperson to lead the Steering Group and give the organisation clear direction and focus. Art On The Map is an unincorporated, constituted association of 100 Lincolnshire artists and craftspeople working co-operatively to open their studios to the public. With the support of the Lincolnshire Co-operative Development Agency, Art On The Map is currently undertaking a review and developing a new strategic plan. The Chairperson will play an active role in ensuring that the Steering Group works strategically, and fulfils its responsibilities for the organisation’s governance. The Chairperson will also ensure that the Steering Group contributes collectively and individually to the ongoing development of the organisation and its Members. The Steering Group is specifically interested in candidates who have the following knowledge and skills: • Leadership skills and the ability to effectively chair meetings • Excellent communication, motivational and people skills • Experience of working with artists and/or an understanding of the arts • Ability to engage with funding authorities and stakeholder partners The Chairperson will be required to attend monthly Steering Group Meetings, the annual AGM and planning sessions as necessary. It is anticipated that the Chairperson will show an active interest by visiting artists’ open studios and other Art On The Map events.
